Sindhu is the Policy Associate at NACTO where she supports the organization’s national and state policy priorities. She also works on the California Cities Transportation Initiative (CaCTI), coordinating with city leaders on key transportation, technology, and pricing issues statewide.
Prior to joining NACTO, Sindhu completed a capstone project on transit access and equity with the Nashville Metropolitan Transit Authority, focusing on neighborhoods historically impacted by highway construction. She also worked as a Graduate Fellow with MassINC, a Boston-based think tank, conducting policy research on transit-oriented development in Massachusetts.
Sindhu received her MS in Environmental Planning at the University of Michigan where she was a Rackham Masters Award recipient and part of the Environmental Fellows Program’s 2017 cohort. She holds a BA in Politics and Cultural Studies from New York University and is dedicated to making urban transportation work for everyone.
