Lauren’s forward-looking perspective and broad public sector experience result in successfully implemented, bold projects. She is an industry expert on the intractable role of parking within the built environment and public health realms and provides expertise on multimodal planning and transportation management strategies. She has a passion for data-driven decision making and great user design, and enjoys pondering how planning paradigms may shift as transportation options and technologies change quickly in upcoming years.

As a Senior Associate at Nelson \ Nygaard, Lauren manages parking, TDM, and multimodal transportation projects for public and private sector clients across the country. Lauren previously served as Manager of Parking Policy and Technology at the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, helping bring SFpark, a new type of parking and demand management system, to life. The pioneering $42M project changed the parking management field, successfully reducing circling and emissions in pilot areas. It won major kudos for its innovation and impact, including from the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy, Harvard Kennedy School, and the International Parking Institute.
