Christoph Gisel is a Lighting Designer in Arup’s New York office. After obtaining his diploma in electronics at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETHZ), Switzerland he evolved his professional focus towards stage and architectural lighting design. Following studies in interior architecture and furniture design, he worked for several design studios in Stockholm, Berlin and New York City. Christoph has over 4 years of experience designing artificial light for urban public spaces, museums and galleries, hotels, restaurants and bars, retail and offices, airports, facades and bridges. His focus at Arup is the development and design of new lighting strategies for small and large scale public spaces, creating a safe, inviting nighttime environment.
