The landscape for bike share and scooter share continues to evolve, and the rise of e-bikes has made waves across North America. In British Columbia, cities have begun to incorporate e-bikes into their micromobility systems, changing how people move through and relate to their communities and neighborhoods.
To explore and understand this evolving landscape, NACTO, Evergreen Canada and practitioners in municipalities in British Columbia are hosting a virtual session on the implementation of e-bikes in communities across the region.
In this panel conversation, practitioners will present best practices, lessons learned and discuss how to ensure safe, equitable access to e-bikes, how to connect e-bikes to larger mobility network, and the role of regional collaboration.
Following presentations, we’ll break out into smaller groups to discuss on key challenges and opportunities around bikeshare systems, and how to move communities more efficiently.
