Sean Wiedel, AICP, is an Assistant Commissioner with the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) where he manages the Citywide Services Section. Most recently, Sean oversaw the successful expansion of the Divvy bike share program from 475 to over 560 stations. Sean manages all aspects of Divvy including marketing, siting, outreach and budget control in partnership with Motivate International. The Citywide Services Section also includes bike safety education initiatives, bike parking, travel demand management and alternative fuels and electric vehicle deployment programs. Additionally, Sean provides leadership to City of Chicago sustainability programs including the Greencorps Chicago job training program. Sean is a founding member and president of the North American Bikeshare Association board of directors.
