Katherine Watkins

Title: Supervising Engineer, City of Cambridge
NACTO Title: Speaker, Designing Cities Conference

Katherine Watkins is a Supervising Engineer for the City of Cambridge Department of Public Works.  She manages a group of consultants and engineers responsible for designing and constructing street, sidewalk, sewer and storm drain infrastructure projects.  She successfully developed and implemented the City’s 5-Year Street and Sidewalk Plan; prioritizing reconstruction projects with a strong commitment to Complete Streets. Katherine designed the City’s first two shared streets in commercial districts; managed the design and construction of the City’s most recent cycle track project; and is currently focused on two residential shared street projects. Prior to working at the City of Cambridge, Katherine was a Transportation Planning Engineer for the Federal Highway Administration, overseeing state and metropolitan planning processes in Kentucky.
