Gavin brings 18 years of experience as a professional planner focused on planning and design of active transportation projects within the context of multi-modal transportation systems.  Gavin is a Principal with Alta Planning + Design and manages their Canadian operations. A respected leader with a collaborative approach, Gavin has had a lead role in a number of projects that are at the forefront of contemporary cycling facility and Complete Streets design in Canada, including Edmonton’s Complete Streets Design Guide, Calgary’s City Centre Cycle Track network, updates to the most recent edition of TAC’s Bikeway Traffic Control Guidelines for Canada, and ongoing updates to TAC’s Geometric Design Guide with emphasis on bikeway and pedestrian facility design.
