NACTO Camp: Things People Have Said About Our Bike Lanes That Are Objectively Wrong

NACTO Camp: Things People Have Said About Our Bike Lanes That Are Objectively Wrong

Get yourself a drink and commiserate.

We’ll swap stories about the times we just *could not*. The times a colleague told you a barrier wasn’t visible even though it had an object marker sign on it. When a resident told you that “the plastics” from your green surface treatment were ruining our oceans. When you couldn’t install a bike lane because double-parking would be displaced. When a business owner used his kid’s crayons to draw a cross section with a 4′ bike lane between a sidewalk and a parked car and demanded that you re-examine your design.
