Community Session: Building Bike Share for All

This event is hosted by Detroit Bike Share.

Detroit Bike Share is launching this spring with 430 bikes at 43 stations throughout greater Downtown Detroit. With the vision to be the nation’s best-in-class program, Detroit Bike Share will support Detroit’s future as a leader in public mobility systems that serve residents’ and visitors’ diverse transportation needs.

Join Detroit Bike Share on Tuesday, April 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wayne State University’s Student Center for a Community Session to learn more about our efforts to build a system that is inviting for all, including passes, pricing and our Neighborhood Ambassador program. You will also get to hear from leaders of bike share systems from New York and Philadelphia about initiatives in their cities that have reached diverse audiences to help more people to use bike share. This session is made possible by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.

Special Guest Speakers:

  • Tracey Capers, Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration, New York
  • Kate Fillin-Yeh, National Organization of City Transportation Officials
  • Claudia Setubal, Indego, Philadelphia Bike Share
