As cities across North America plan for high-quality bike and bus infrastructure, there are still institutional barriers to ensuring efficient and predictable implementation of these treatments. NACTO’s City Accelerator program is a grant-funded program designed to help cities with this very challenge. Through Accelerators, cities receive technical and organizational guidance to help them create new internal pathways, develop new partnerships, and define new goals needed to construct catalytic projects. Lessons learned from accelerator cities then provide the blueprint needed to produce change faster across the NACTO member city network.
