Tim Lawson

Tim Lawson is a Senior Transportation Engineer with the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC). For the past nineteen years, he has worked to improve the operation and safety of TTC’s buses and streetcars, through transportation engineering. Tim has been involved in various transit priority initiatives, including the extensive development and implementation of transit signal priority (TSP). He has sat on several national steering committees, developing guidelines related to transit priority measures and transit signals.

Tim holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Waterloo, and a Master of Science in Transportation Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley. He is a past president of the Toronto Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers.
