Roger has over 20 years’ experience managing bicycle capital, planning and policy projects. He possesses in-depth knowledge of design, policy, planning and maintenance relating to bicycle transportation. Roger has contributed to the implementation of hundreds of miles of bikeways, the introduction of many innovations to Portland’s streets and to the successful evaluation of their effect. Roger has led numerous trainings, classes in bikeway planning, policy and design, has delivered keynote addresses at national conferences in Australia and New Zealand and toured Canadian cities as an Invited Scholar. He continues advising a multi-city effort to refine a national urban bicycling design guide.
