Jessica Zenk is Acting Deputy Director for the City of San Jose Department of Transportation, where she leads an exceptional team professionals planning, designing and building a more accessible and sustainable San Jose.
Jessica is an urban planner with expertise in economic development, transportation, infill and redevelopment, and the arts. Prior to joining the City of San Jose, Jessica directed transportation and land use policy initiatives and programs for the Silicon Valley Leadership Group and worked with Seifel Consulting Inc., where she advised on a wide range of urban planning projects. She received a Master of City and Regional Planning degree from the University of California, Berkeley, a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from Brown University.
Jessica is an avid dancer, performer and advocate for the arts and urbanism, having served on the San Jose Arts Commission and the Advisory Board for SPUR San Jose. She lives with her husband and two children in Downtown San Jose, enabling fun but complex multi-modal, multi-generational commutes.
