Jenny O’Connell is a Senior Program Associate at NACTO. Earlier in her career, Jenny was an Analyst in the Transportation Line of Business at ICF, where she worked on a range of strategic transportation projects at the federal, state, regional, and local level. Many of her projects focused on the impact of transportation on greenhouse gas emissions and on the relationship between active transportation and public health. Jenny also spent one year as the Program Coordinator for Environment at AASHTO, where she managed the Environmental Technical Assistance Program and worked with environmental planners at state DOTs to develop research statements for federal funding and create resources to support state-level environmental planning. In 2015, Jenny moved to New York City to pursue her Master of Urban Planning, during which time she also worked as a researcher at the Rudin Center for Transportation and the New York City Department of Transportation.
Jenny loves to travel, and always tries to explore new cities by foot or bike. Her favorite bike path in New York City is on Randall’s Island. Jenny holds a BA from Tulane University in Political Economy, and a Master of Urban Planning from New York University.
