Arielle supports SPUR’s efforts to create a high-quality transportation system in the Bay Area. Previously, she worked at the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, where she managed a number of bicycle and pedestrian safety education programs in support of the city’s Vision Zero policy. In addition she developed programs, plans and policies to encourage travel by sustainable modes for the agency’s transportation demand management initiative. Her primary interest area is the relationship between health and the built environment, specifically how transportation can improve health outcomes. Arielle earned a master’s degree in urban planning and a master’s degree in public health from the University of Michigan. She has a bachelors degree in history from UC Davis.
