Consider the following hypothesis: The inequity we experience in cities is the result of a design process. If this is true, how might we design government and transportation systems to produce different, more equitable outcomes?
In this workshop, we will set a common frame for what equity is, identify tools for redesigning systems that perpetuate inequality, and explore our own power to affect transformative change where we work and operate. Participants will leave this workshop with practical approaches to frame, explain, and take action to address the complex problems at the intersection of equity and transportation.
