Meet the Cities Virtual Summer Series – Session 1

Jun 24, 2026 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm ET

This summer series of one-hour webinars on Zoom is a continuation of the popular, fun networking event, Meet the Cities, that takes place at Designing Cities every year. At Meet the Cities, NACTO members prepare posters on an initiative, program, or project they want to showcase.

At each webinar, representatives will present the posters they created for the conference and a Q&A.

If you couldn’t make the conference or didn’t meet everyone, this is your chance to learn about what other NACTO members are working on.

On June 24, we’ll hear from:

  • Virginia Lynn, Senior Vision Zero Coordinator, City of Philadelphia, on Vision Zero Action Plan 2030 & Automated Enforcement
  • Michael Sawyer, City Transportation Engineer, City of Richmond, on Transportation Storytelling
  • David Harrison, Senior Policy Analyst, City of Louisville, on Market Street Road Diet Vision Zero
  • Mike Schofield & Mike Hargis, Supervising Engineer and Community Engagement Specialist, City of Austin, on Wishbone Bike and Pedestrian Bridge
  • Peter Koonce, Engineering Manager, Portland Bureau of Transportation, on Traffic Signal Operations for Safety – Rest in Red
  • Kelly Akasaki and Kaylan Bubeloff, Chief Transportation Engineer and Complete Streets Planner, City and County of Honolulu, on Kalapawai Roundabout & the Honolulu Safer Streets Initiative

The one hour sessions happen on Wednesdays at 3 p.m. from June 24 – August 5. Register for the series and stop by to learn from your peers!

This event is only open to staff at NACTO member agencies. Member agency staff can find information on how to join the meeting on our member forum, here.
