Effective communication is key to gaining political support and community buy-in for transportation initiatives. For projects with a major design component, visual communication is especially critical. When done right, diagrams, renderings, and other graphics can be powerful tools for communicating complex proposals. Good graphic communication can have an even greater impact on projects whose benefits may take months or years to be seen on the ground, by providing images that act as strong visual reminders of what is proposed. This session will discuss techniques for making visual communication most effective in order to win and retain project support.
