Join NACTO and staff from member cities to discuss the next edition of our Urban Bikeway Design Guide!
In the ten years since the UBDG was published, the process of redesigning city streets has become a key strategy for addressing North America’s safety, equity, and climate crises. The state of bike infrastructure planning has also evolved and advanced, with new ideas and best practices moving the practice forward. That’s why, over the past year, we’ve begun the process of updating our guidance through the publication of seven working papers exploring the latest concepts in bikeway planning and design concepts. Now, with the working papers completed, we’re ready to begin working on the new version of the guide itself.
Our goal with this update is to create guidance that ensures the UBDG remains a crucial, forward-thinking resource for equitable bike infrastructure development. As always, this guidance will be written by cities, for cities. At this meeting, we’ll discuss the process for updating the guide, and how staff from member cities can contribute.
This event is only open to staff in NACTO member cities and partner agencies. Registration details for members will be shared through our Mobilize listserv. If you are a member city or agency staffer that would like to be added to our listserv, please contact Yadira Cabrera.
