Tom Vanderbilt is a Brooklyn, NY-based writer whose work has appeared in Wired, the New York Times Magazine, the Wilson Quarterly, Smithsonian, the Financial Times, and many other publications. He is author the NY Times bestselling book ‘Traffic: Why We Drive the Way We Do (and What It Says About Us),’ published in more than dozen languages worldwide. He is currently a visiting scholar at New York University’s Rudin Center for Transportation Management and Policy. He writes the ‘Transport’ column for Slate and is contributing editor to Outside Magazine, Print Magazine, and Artforum.
