Tobi Nussbaum is a Councillor in the City of Ottawa representing an economically diverse ward just east of the downtown core. First elected in 2014, he moved to municipal politics after 15 years professional experience as a Canadian diplomat, lawyer and senior public servant with the Government of Canada. He has worked at the United Nations in New York and on international trade policy in Geneva. He holds a Master of Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School, a law degree from the University of Victoria and an Honours Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University. Married with two school-aged daughters, Tobi enjoys running, racquet sports, all things backcountry, and has recently taken up fiddling.
