Thalia is a senior planner with the Livable Streets subdivision of the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA). Thalia’s work at the SFMTA focuses on implementing bicycle and pedestrian improvements throughout San Francisco as well as coordinating larger streetscape projects such as the Polk Streetscape Project and the 5th Street Improvement Project. Thalia is also the manager of the SFMTA’s Safe Streets Project Evaluation Program, which seeks to provide analysis of bicycle and pedestrian safety improvements and evidence-based solutions.
Prior to SFMTA, Thalia worked as a consultant on a range of streetscape and urban design projects in both California and New York. She holds a bachelor degree in architecture from the University of California at Berkeley and a Master of City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania.
