Tara Worden is an Assistant Planner in the Long Range Planning Division within the Planning and Development Services Department for the City of West Hollywood in California. Tara works on a range of projects including emerging mobility regulations, land use solutions to address affordable housing, and managing community outreach events. Tara currently serves as Awards Co-Director on the Board of Directors for APA Los Angeles.

Tara previously worked as a Project Planner at PlaceWorks, a planning consulting firm where she primarily worked on TOD Specific Plans and General Plan policy documents. She received her Master in Planning from USC in 2015, with a concentration in Urban Design. Prior to pursuing her Masters, Tara worked as a Community Outreach Coordinator for an environmental justice advocacy group in North Carolina. Tara’s passion for parity and her understanding of the built environment drive her practice of equity based planning.
