Becky Bavinger has been with the Public Health Department at Bloomberg Philanthropies since 2012. She works across several programs, including the Initiative for Global Road Safety, Initiative to Reduce Tobacco Use, Maternal and Reproductive Health Program, and Initiative to Prevent Drowning. Prior to joining Bloomberg Philanthropies, Becky co-founded a social enterprise based in Kolkata, India that provides vocational training and job placement services to survivors of trafficking and abuse. Becky has worked with a number of international nonprofit organizations, including Medecins Sans Frontieres and Vital Voices. She currently serves on the board of Destiny Reflection USA and volunteers with Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. Becky holds an M.P.A. in International Nonprofit Management from NYU’s Wagner School of Public Service and received her B.A. in Russian and Government from Georgetown University.
