Nicole Blanchard is a Civil Engineer and has work for the City of Portland Bureau of Transportation for the last 15 years. Since 2003, she has focused on interagency collaboration to develop design standards and best practices to implement green infrastructure in the public right-of-way. She has been part of green infrastructure evolving from just a stormwater management tool into an integral part of the City’s watershed health and complete street network. In addition to green infrastructure, Nicole also designs roadway projects, and enjoys working on anything a little out of the ordinary.
Nicole is a mother of two growing boys, a pedestrian advocate and an avid fisherwoman who spends her free-time exploring rivers in search of salmon and steelhead, or fishing the ocean for rockfish, tuna and halibut.
