Meghan Mitman, AICP, Senior Associate with Fehr & Peers, has over twelve years of transportation planning and engineering experience, with a focus on active transportation planning and safety. She co-authored the multi-award winning California Pedestrian Safety Assessments Technical Guidebook, as well as the recent California Bicycle Safety Assessment Guidebook. She is also a co-author for the draft ITE Recommended Practice on Accommodating Pedestrians and Bicyclists at Interchanges. She is a national instructor for the FHWA’s pedestrian planning, safety, and design courses. Meghan is a member of the TRB Pedestrian Committee and Research Subcommittee, and the Chair of the ITE Pedestrian/Bicycle Council. She holds degrees from Princeton University and the University of California at Berkeley. In graduate school she received the prestigious Eno and Eisenhower Fellowships. She is currently the Operations Manager for Fehr & Peers’ San Francisco Office.
