Lauren Nixon is a people and culture leader who is energized by mobilizing and coaching high-impact teams toward building vibrant cultures while remaining grounded in their organizational mission.

As Director of People and Culture with NACTO, Lauren works toward setting the strategic direction for shaping a healthy, inclusive, and sustainable organizational culture by operationalizing equity through protocol, policy, and professional development.

Lauren has a rich background in team management, operations, hiring, organizational development, education and facilitation, and curriculum design that she has utilized in past professional spaces including The Democracy Collaborative, The Institute for Public Health Innovation, FoodCorps, The Free Library of Philadelphia, University of Pennsylvania, and more.

Lauren holds a MA from New York University and a BA from The New School where she serves as a mentor to undergraduate, graduate, and alumni students.
