Kevin is the director of Transportation for America. He joined T4America in October 2017.
He previously served in the Obama administration as the deputy director of communications at the U.S. Department of the Interior and earlier as Associate Administrator for Legislative Affairs and Communications at the Federal Railroad Administration, an operating mode of the U.S. Department of Transportation. While at DOT, Kevin worked on the High-Speed Intercity Passenger Rail program, MAP-21 and managed rollouts for initiatives related to the implementation of the Passenger Rail Investment and Improvement Act (PRIA) and the Rail Safety Improvement Act (RSIA). Additionally, he led rollout initiatives related to rail investments funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, TIGER grants, NEC Futures, positive train control and tank car safety regulations.
Before joining DOT, Kevin led pubic participation efforts, legislative advocacy campaigns, environmental justice efforts and communications at public affairs firms in Seattle and Chicago. Earlier in his career, Kevin led government relations at the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) and coordinated the infrastructure sub-cabinet for Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley.
