Katy Sawyer is a Senior Project Manager in the City of Pittsburgh’s Traffic Bureau, where she oversees the engineering and construction of active transportation projects and manages the City’s traffic calming program. She has over 14 years of public- and private- sector experience in the planning, design, and construction of multi-disciplinary transportation projects. Katy assists with the development of national standards and guidance as a member of the Bicycle Technical Committee of the National Committee of Uniform Traffic Control Devices. When she isn’t stewarding the public right-of-way, Katy is backpacking Appalachia with her husband Kevin and her dog Carson.
