Katie Caskey is the Policy Planning Director at the Minnesota Department of Transportation. Recently, she was Project Manager for the Statewide Multimodal Transportation Plan update, Minnesota’s highest-level transportation plan. After experiencing one too many poorly-attended open houses, she became particularly interested in developing visual, interactive, data-driven – yet responsive – approaches to public engagement, with the goal of increasing participation and spreading her excitement for transportation. Caskey has a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.
