Jay-Marie Hill

A sought-after activist, musician, cyclist, educator, and “creative mind asking the questions that will shape the future of culture”.  Hill holds degrees from the University of Southern California and Stanford University including African-American Studies. Jay-Marie lives a life designed to help our world ascend beyond gendered and racialized norms.  Hill’s speaking and performing engagements have taken place at Dartmouth College, Harvard University, American Repertory Theater, Stanford University, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, New Conservatory Theater Center in San Francisco, and more.  Their past organizing work has been on Tishaura Jones Campaign for St. Louis Mayor, with incarcerated women in California State Prisons, and national organizers (BYP, BLM, SONG, M4BL).  Jay-Marie is the first-ever Trans Justice Organizer at the ACLU of Missouri. They work to empower all – but specifically Black, Queer, and Trans – people around the state and country including as a Co-Lead on the Black Trans Bike Tour.  Jay-Marie’s presence, lectures, and performances push audiences to think bigger, question better, and love harder.  

Jay-Marie is originally from Oakland, CA.
