Jason Neches is the founder and principal of WATT Lighting and a new resident of Seattle. A lighting designer with experience on a variety of award-winning public and private projects, Jason (before relocating to Seattle from New York City) was the Director of L’Observatoire International as well as a professor within the Parsons School of Design – Masters Degree in Lighting program.
Originally educated in International Finance at the University of Maryland, Jason discovered a love of architecture while living abroad in Tokyo. Finding Japanese culture rich in historic and contemporary architecture, Jason discovered many hidden treasures during daytime and evening walks. It was through these evening walks that Jason realized the power of lighting – both by the deliberate hand and that of mere accident or coincidence.
