Dustin White is a transportation planner for the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency , where he has worked since 2005. Prior to joining the SFMTA, he was a consultant with Alta Planning + Design. Although he considers himself a Californian, Dustin grew up in Philadelphia and received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Bucknell University. Dustin’s current work at the SFMTA is focused on improving transit performance through street design; his past projects have included multimodal streetscape redesigns, planning and implementation of major transit service changes and planning San Francisco’s first parking-protected cycle track. Dustin’s passion for transit is matched only by his passion for cycling – he is a competitive mountain biker, and commutes by bike in San Francisco with his 1.5 year-old son on a cargo bike.
