David Vitézy’s professional career began in 2004, when he became head of transport development at Budapest NGO Urban and Suburban Transit Association (VEKE). In 2010, David developed the concept for the new integrated transport and mobility authority, Centre for Budapest Transport (BKK) and was serving as the first CEO from October 2010 through December 2014. During his tenure, David put in place a string of developments serving as the foundation for a passenger-friendly, sustainable, innovative and integrated Budapest transport system and implemented major projects promoting walking, cycling and public transport in Budapest.
