Coreata R. Houser (he/him), serves as the Manager of Neighborhood Investment and Business Diversity for the City of Birmingham. He is focused on fulfilling Mayor Woodfin’s vision of creating an inclusive economy by leading the City’s VITAL program, an inclusive procurement program, and the City’s 2021 disparity study. Coreata created and leads the City’s first legacy business program.  In addition, he manages one of the most historic redevelopment projects in the City. Coreata oversees a robust portfolio of neighborhood redevelopment and WMBDE initiatives in the commercial corridors.
