Cindy Patton is the Interim Director of Transportation Operations where she oversees a team of approximately 140 managers, supervisors and staff to deliver annual work programs and special projects for the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI). Her oversight includes the maintenance of all signs, traffic signals and striping; curbside and parking management; transportation network and systems management; and street light management. Previously, Cindy served as the Strategic Advisor for DOTI developing innovative policies and programs like the Dockless Mobility Pilot Program (scooters/ebikes). Over her almost 12 years at the City and County of Denver, Cindy has been committed to furthering multi-modal transportation through the intersection of policy, planning and operations and she believes that even little tweaks in the use of right of way can become powerful city building tools. Cindy earned her Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Colorado in Denver and her Bachelor of Arts from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. She loves traveling and making her husband and two little girls wait while she takes pictures of things like crosswalks and parking meters.
