Christina O’Claire is pleased to serve King County Metro, the nation’s eighth-largest transit system, which was named APTA’s Outstanding Public Transportation System for 2018. Chris steered the creation of Metro Connects, the agency’s long-range plan for doubling transit ridership over the next 25 years. As Director of the Mobility Division, her role is to oversee the planning for all public transportation services, including the fixed-route bus system with over 420,000 boardings every weekday, the piloting and integration of innovative products and delivery models, and the development of new mobility markets. Additionally, she oversees the marketing and customer services for Metro’s full suite of mobility solutions, and the delivery of all contracted services including the Access paratransit service and the nation’s largest vanpool program. She is uniquely positioned to lead the agency’s mobility transformation – advancing social equity, universal accessibility, and enabling people to travel farther, faster and more easily throughout King County.
