Carlos Hernandez is a transportation planner from Los Angeles whose background is rooted in developing community-based bike programs in Southern California. His current work with the Vision Zero program at the Los Angeles Department of Transportation focuses on delivering corridor safety improvement projects at the intersection of community need and innovative design. In addition to street safety design, Carlos manages two by-request programs that guide community groups in creating livable streets (People St and Play Streets), and is a lifelong ironworker.
