Bhuvan is a Transportation Engineer for the City of Los Angeles Dept. of Transportation (LADOT). He leads the Hollywood-Wilshire District Office, which is the group in charge of the local, day-to-day traffic operations for the Mid-City, Koreatown, Hollywood, and Hollywood Hills region of the City. Bhuvan spent 10 years in the LADOT’s Automated Traffic Surveillance & Control Center (ATSAC), specializing in Traffic Signal Timing and Advanced Transportation Management Systems before his current position in Hollywood. His professional experiences have spanned from the “cutting-edge, high-tech” side of Traffic Management Systems, to the pleasures (and challenges) of working directly with the public, community leaders, and elected officials on regional Traffic Engineering issues. Bhuvan has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, and an M.S. in Engineering Management, both from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He is a licensed Professional Traffic Engineer in the State of California. In his own time, Bhuvan has previously served as a Traffic Commissioner, and currently serves as a Committee Member on the General Plan Advisory Committee in the city where he resides.
