Arthur Getman has been with NYCDOT since 2014, currently serving as Deputy Director of the Safety Analytics and Mapping Unit in the Transportation Planning and Management Division. In this role Arthur contributes analytic support for Vision Zero project, policy, and program development. He is co-author of several safety studies including “Safer Cycling: Bicycle Ridership and Safety in New York City” and “Don’t Cut Corners: Left Turn Pedestrian and Bicycle Crash Study.” Arthur has a master’s degree in Urban Sustainability from CUNY/CCNY and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from NYU. He openly loves bikes and secretly loves writing in third person.
