Anita Tang currently works as the Carshare Project Manager for the City of Los Angeles Department of Transportation. With 28 years of experience working with the City of Los Angeles, Anita has managed budgets and overseen contracts, ranging from $5,000 to $80 million, for various City departments. With a grant from the California Air Resources Board (CARB), she, along with BlueLA, launched the nation’s largest Electric Vehicle Carshare Program for disadvantaged communities in April 2018. She also introduced the Rules and Guidelines for Fixed-Space and Point-to-Point carshare permit programs, which were approved by the City Council and will go live in October 2018. Her goals in implementing carsharing programs are to help increase travel convenience and accessibility; reduce personal vehicle ownership; alleviate parking and traffic congestion; and help drive the city towards a sustainable future.
