Andreas has been a planner with the City of Bellevue Transportation Department for eight years. He has managed bike share in the city since 2017, from development of the framework for the one year pilot through its evaluation and transition into the current annual permit. Responding to community feedback, the program has prioritized the designation of parking hubs to balance user access and public realm impacts, allowed citywide deployment with targeted rebalancing, and incorporated incentives to encourage values-driven service enhancements while lowering the barrier to market entry. Andreas also supports various multimodal mobility programs, including bikeway design and implementation, network connectivity analysis, and Vision Zero. He received his BA in Urban Planning from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and attended the University of Washington for his Master of Urban Planning degree.
