Amina Yasin is Co-Chair of the Canadian Institute of Planners Social Equity Committee. She currently lives in New Westminster and works as an Urban Planner in lower mainland, British Columbia. Her interest and research commitments have actively embraced her unique professional and lived-experiences to advocate for an increased emphasis on responsive, equitable and inclusive planning. Amina has given several keynote and panel presentations on inclusive planning and wellness including the intersections between urban and active transportation planning, mental health, neurocognitive health, and wellness inspired by her passion for inclusive and equitable cities.
