Alex leads NACTO’s communications, creating a strong city voice for mobility in the national discourse. He is the lead on press relations and messaging for the association of 90 cities, and serves as its lead spokesperson. Previously, he managed the NACTO Designing Cities conferences in Chicago and Los Angeles.
Prior to NACTO, Alex worked at the Municipal Art Society, developing online tools to help demystify New York City’s planning process, and at the NYC Department of Transportation, where he managed advertising and outreach campaigns, oversaw the agency’s social media presence, helped manage Summer Streets, and introduced New York City’s first pothole mascot.
Alex has a B.A. in Metropolitan Studies from New York University.
