Samaiyah works at NACTO as a Program Associate. She supports NACTO’s Engagement Team efforts, helping to curate curricular opportunities that train city transportation professionals to advance sustainable and just design, policy, and organizational culture.
She joins NACTO with experience in community focused approaches to urban planning and a commitment to equity and inclusion. Samaiyah previously worked at Prospect Park Alliance, the nonprofit that sustains Brooklyn’s flagship park in partnership with the City of New York, as the Community and Government Relations Coordinator.
Samaiyah earned her BA from Bennington College in Vermont, where her course of study focused on political science, sociology, anthropology, and macroeconomics.
