Join the Member Program Committee for Designing Cities 2026

The 2026 Member Program Committee application is closed as of September 20, 2025.

Want to shape the content at our next conference? We’re looking for ten people employed at our member agencies to join our Member Program Committee.

All aspects of the NACTO Designing Cities conference are carefully planned, with a focus on the most pressing topics for our member agencies. Unlike many conferences, NACTO’s Designing Cities does not have an open call for session proposals. Instead, our sessions are planned by the conference host city, NACTO staff, or city practitioners on the Member Program Committee.

The Member Program Committee reflects a diversity of career levels, agency sizes, geographies, specialities, and personal identities. Each Committee member brings their unique perspective to a session at the conference, including identifying the topic, inviting additional speakers, and facilitating the session.

Four photos from a conference are featured in a spread. In the top left, a female-presenting person with curly hair and brown skin speaks into a microphone. On the top right, a light-skinned woman with curly hair is seated next to a bearded man wearing glasses and an orange turban; both are smiling. In the bottom right, a group of people are sitting in chairs facing a screen and a dais. In the bottom left, four people are at a table covered with a black tablecloth. Two men are seated closest to the camera and are smiling. A woman with long brown hair is speaking into a microphone while looking toward the men. The last person has a short gray bob and is wearing a black face mask and green blazer.

Committee members engage in a collaborative, mutually supportive process facilitated by NACTO staff. They meet monthly with us and their peers on the Committee and have access to office hours, planning templates, and other tools to ensure their success. To thank them for their time and expertise, we provide each member with complimentary conference registration.

Interested? Submit this form by midnight ET on Friday, September 19.
