NACTO and TransitCenter are proud to partner with the City of Cambridge and MBTA on the Transit Program Accelerator, a one-year partnership to bring new knowledge, resources, and energy to transit challenges in Cambridge. The City of Cambridge and MBTA are focusing efforts on a priority corridor to transform over the course of the year into a street that supports better transit, and provides a safer, more inviting, and more vibrant streetscape for all users.
Over the course of two intensive days, the City of Cambridge and MBTA will be joined by peer city experts from Seattle, New York, and San Francisco who are leading the field and implementing innovative street design and transit operations strategies, transforming their streets into vibrant and high-performing multi-modal places and making transit a more competitive and far reaching service for all people.
City and agency staff will have the chance to learn cutting edge techniques from one another, share with local leadership the potential for transit to power growth without congestion throughout the Boston-Cambridge region, and collaborate to solve design challenges.
