Bike share is transit, and the best transit integrates well with other services. Our European counterparts have proven the benefits of seamlessly linking bike share with the rest of their public transportation system, enabling greater mobility without friction. While full integration may be technically complicated on the back-end, there are low-cost ways to get started.
Join NACTO and the Better Bike Share Partnership for a conversation with Bublr Bikes and Milwaukee County Transit System as well as PGH Bike Share to learn how governments and operators have worked together to enhance transportation options. By better integrating bike share payment to more easily combine with public transit, both cities are making great strides towards erasing barriers between services and complementing transit instead of existing in isolation.
In this webinar, you’ll learn the how-to’s, lessons learned, and best practices on building better transit and bike share relationships. You’ll hear how these collaborative projects came about, and what it takes to develop a successful cross-mode program.
