Digital Design Charrette: Saint Paul

Digital Design Charrette: Saint Paul

MEMBERS-ONLY EVENT

Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is coming to 5th and 6th Streets in Downtown Saint Paul. Join NACTO, the City of Saint Paul, Metro Transit, Ramsey County, East Metro Strong, and partners from the American Cities Climate Challenge for a digital design charrette on the planned Gold Line BRT project. The Gold Line will be Minnesota’s first BRT line that operates primarily in bus-only lanes, with 21 full-amenity stations across the 10-mile route between Woodbury and Downtown Saint Paul. Across agencies, the primary challenge is integrating the Gold Line with other roadway and network improvements to pedestrian, bus and light rail facilities. Peer reviewers from King County Metro and Sound Transit in Seattle, WA who are familiar with integrating high-capacity regional transit with local bus service will help the East Metro Region develop a cohesive vision for transportation on 5th and 6th streets in Downtown Saint Paul.
