Digital Design Charrette: Charlotte

Digital Design Charrette: Charlotte

MEMBERS-ONLY EVENT

With traffic quickly returning to city streets transit reliability is paramount to support essential workers and economic recovery efforts. Join NACTO, the Charlotte Department of Transportation (CDOT), and Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) for a digital design charrette on Charlotte’s Central Avenue bus / bike lane pilot on July 29th, 1:30 PM ET / 10:30 PT.

Building off the success of their East 4th St. pilot, CDOT and CATS will apply lessons learned, peer and community feedback to refine the bus and bike lane lane designs on Central Avenue. This is in effort to improve transit reliability, pedestrian access, and cycling safety on this important corridor connecting communities to uptown businesses and services.

Peer reviewers will join us from across the US with diverse expertise in transit operations and complete streets design to support the success of the Central Ave. pilot!
